Feedback for Final Video Construction

To evaluate the success of our production, we created a survey using Survey Monkey, which I sent to media studies students. We decided to ask simple questions as we thought that people would better understand them and we would get better results. We asked:

In the responses to these, I hoped to assess how well our product reflects the genre of the song (Folk/Rock/Psychedelic), how well it corresponds with the ancillary texts such as the digipak and website, and also what people liked/disliked about it in general.




We were all rather pleased with the responses to the survey. From this feedback we think that we correctly represented Cosmo in the video and also presented the genre in a successful manor. We were also very proud of the synergy that we have created between our products which many people noticed. We are very glad to see that some people understood the inter-textual references to the 60s and 70s, as well as our use of effects such as the coloured smoke, and our range of shot frames and angles throughout. Although one person commented that the 'bunny shot' may not be necessary, others suggested the sequence could have benefited from more of the concept influence, i.e. the unusual objects.
